1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use and User Agreement form a contract between you and LiveCurrent. They apply to livecurrent.app, account.livecurrent.app, the LiveCurrent desktop applications, Event Collab, support services, application updates, and related features that link to these terms.
By creating an account, purchasing access, installing the application, or using the service, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
2. What LiveCurrent provides
LiveCurrent helps worship teams organize backing tracks, songs, sections, setlists, rehearsal workflows, and live performance controls. Certain features may import supported information from Ableton Live Sets, connect to an online account, share arrangement information through Event Collab, or download application updates.
LiveCurrent does not sell backing tracks or music licenses. Track providers, copyright administrators, streaming platforms, plug-in vendors, audio-interface vendors, and other third parties operate under their own agreements. Your use of their content and services remains subject to their terms.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old or have legal authority from a parent, guardian, church, or organization to create and manage the account.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably current.
- You are responsible for protecting your password, sign-in methods, devices, and active sessions.
- You must promptly contact support if you believe your account or device access has been compromised.
- You may not sell, transfer, rent, or share account access in a way that bypasses the tier or device permissions assigned to the account.
4. Desktop application license
Subject to your account tier and continued compliance with these terms, LiveCurrent grants you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to install and use the application for your own worship, rehearsal, performance, and related organizational work.
You may create and save LiveCurrent projects, arrange content that you are permitted to use, and operate the application on devices allowed by your account. You may not resell the application, distribute modified application binaries, remove ownership notices, bypass access controls, or use the service to provide unauthorized access to another person. Reverse engineering is prohibited except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly permits it.
LiveCurrent and its original software, interface, branding, documentation, and service design remain owned by LiveCurrent and its licensors. This agreement gives you a right to use the service, not ownership of it.
5. Your projects, tracks, and other content
You keep ownership of the project files, recordings, arrangements, notes, support messages, and other content that you own. You also keep any rights granted to you by a track provider or another rights holder.
You are responsible for having the permissions needed to use, copy, perform, stream, share, or modify any third-party music, recording, plug-in, Ableton file, artwork, or other material you bring into LiveCurrent. LiveCurrent does not expand or replace the license supplied by your content provider or copyright administrator.
Most desktop project and audio data stays on the computer where you place it. When you choose an online feature, you give LiveCurrent permission to process the account, project, arrangement, library, collaboration, diagnostic, or support information reasonably needed to provide that feature. This permission lasts only as long as needed to operate, secure, support, and document the service.
Keep your own backups of important project files, audio, presets, and service plans. LiveCurrent cloud-connected features are not a substitute for a complete backup system.
6. Event Collab and shared links
Event Collab lets an authorized app user share setlist and song-arrangement information with invited browser collaborators. The room creator controls the share link and is responsible for sending it only to intended participants.
- Anyone with an active share link may be able to view or propose changes within that room.
- Collaborators must use respectful display names and must not submit harmful, unlawful, or unrelated material.
- The app user decides whether to use collaborator proposals in the local project.
- Rooms and snapshots may expire according to the time shown in the product.
- Network delays, conflicting edits, browser state, or service interruptions may affect how quickly participants see changes.
7. Beta access, pricing, and payments
Current Beta pricing and included access are shown before checkout. Payments are processed by PayPal or another payment provider identified at checkout. LiveCurrent does not receive or store your complete payment-card or bank-account credentials.
Any taxes, exchange charges, or payment-provider fees are handled as shown at checkout or as required by law. Refund requests are considered under the checkout terms, the circumstances of the request, and applicable consumer law. Contact support before starting a payment dispute so the account and transaction can be reviewed.
Beta access does not promise a particular Version 1 release date, future price, feature list, operating-system lifetime, or upgrade credit unless a separate written offer expressly says so.
8. Rehearsal and live performance use
Audio performance depends on the complete system, including the computer, operating system, audio interface, drivers, storage, plug-ins, cables, routing, imported files, and user configuration. Rehearse the full service on the same setup you plan to use live.
You are responsible for monitoring levels, routing, timing, song arrangements, imported content, device stability, and backup plans. Keep a practical fallback available for any event where an interruption could materially affect the service.
9. Acceptable use
You may not use LiveCurrent to:
- break the law, infringe intellectual-property rights, or violate another person's privacy;
- upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, probe service security, or interfere with other users;
- scrape, overload, automate abusive traffic against, or bypass rate limits and access controls;
- misrepresent your identity, impersonate another person, or submit fraudulent payment information;
- share Event Collab links, application downloads, licenses, or account credentials beyond the access you are permitted to grant; or
- use the service to distribute recordings, projects, or other material that you are not permitted to distribute.
10. Beta changes, updates, and availability
LiveCurrent is currently offered as Beta software. Beta members help identify bugs, test workflows, and shape Version 1. Features, file formats, limits, account tiers, and online services may change as the product improves.
Updates may add, modify, or remove behavior. Some updates may be required for account connectivity, collaboration, security, project compatibility, or continued access to online services. We may temporarily limit a feature to maintain security, integrity, or reliability.
Feedback is voluntary. If you send an idea, suggestion, bug report, or workflow proposal, you permit LiveCurrent to use it to develop and improve the product without payment or an obligation to implement it.
11. Disclaimers and limits of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LiveCurrent is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, compatibility with every file, plug-in, device, driver, operating-system version, or third-party service, or that every imported item will produce the same result as its source application.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LiveCurrent is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost recordings, missed performances, or business interruption arising from use of the service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, LiveCurrent's total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid directly to LiveCurrent for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where applicable law prohibits them.
12. Suspension, termination, and changes
You may stop using LiveCurrent at any time. You may request account closure through support, subject to records we must retain for security, transactions, disputes, and legal compliance.
LiveCurrent may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats, abuse, unpaid or reversed transactions, serious violations of these terms, or legal requirements. When practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
We may update these terms as the product and law change. The effective date will be revised, and material changes may be presented through the site, account, application, or email. Continued use after the updated terms take effect means you accept them.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A failure to enforce one provision is not a waiver of it. These terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement for the LiveCurrent services they cover unless a separate written agreement applies.
