1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to livecurrent.app, account.livecurrent.app, LiveCurrent desktop applications, Event Collab, application-update services, support, and related features that link to this policy. It does not control the privacy practices of track providers, identity providers, payment services, hosting companies, plug-in vendors, or other third parties.
2. Information we handle
Account and profile information
When you register or update an account, we may handle your email address, display name, username or handle, password hash, timezone, locale, account tier, verification state, and linked sign-in provider. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, not readable plain text.
Purchases and account access
When you purchase Beta access, we may receive transaction identifiers, amount, currency, payment status, payer details supplied by the payment provider, and timestamps. PayPal or the provider shown at checkout processes the payment credentials. LiveCurrent does not store your complete payment-card or bank-account number.
Device, application, and security information
We may handle application version, operating system, architecture, bounded device or installation identifiers, session and token hashes, sign-in timestamps, IP-address hashes, user-agent hashes, update checks, and security events. This information helps authorize devices, deliver updates, investigate abuse, and keep accounts secure.
Project and collaboration information
Most song, setlist, arrangement, and audio information stays in local project files. If you use Event Collab or another cloud-connected workflow, LiveCurrent may process the room name, participant display names, share-link identifiers, setlist and song structure, section names and colors, key and tempo details, arrangement proposals, library metadata, timestamps, and change history needed to provide that workflow. Event Collab does not upload your audio tracks as part of normal room synchronization.
Support and feedback
If you submit a support ticket or Beta feedback, we handle the message, category, account information, screenshots, attachments, diagnostics, application version, device details, and any other information you choose to include. Avoid submitting information that is not needed to explain the issue.
Website and service activity
Our hosting and security systems may process request timestamps, pages or endpoints requested, approximate network location derived from an IP address, browser and device information, referrer information, error logs, and activity needed to prevent abuse and operate the service.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- create and secure accounts, verify access, and manage devices;
- process purchases and maintain transaction records;
- provide downloads, application updates, Event Collab, support, and other requested features;
- send account, security, purchase, support, and service messages;
- diagnose bugs, improve performance, and understand which workflows need attention during Beta;
- prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and service disruption; and
- comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your local audio files to train a generative artificial-intelligence model.
5. Cookies and local storage
The account site uses essential session cookies and related browser storage to keep you signed in, protect requests, remember security state, and complete account workflows. The desktop application may store local preferences, project state, cached authorization, update state, and device identifiers needed for its features.
Blocking essential cookies may prevent account sign-in and protected pages from working. If optional analytics or advertising technology is added in the future, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before that use.
6. Retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain account and transaction records, resolve support requests, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and establish or defend claims. Retention periods differ by data type and feature.
- Account information is generally retained while the account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward.
- Transaction, security, and audit records may be retained longer where needed for fraud prevention, accounting, disputes, or law.
- Support records may be kept to continue a case and improve recurring product issues.
- Event Collab rooms and snapshots may expire according to the time shown in the product, although limited security or audit records may remain longer.
- Backups may retain deleted information temporarily until normal backup rotation completes.
7. Security
LiveCurrent uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service, including hashed credentials and tokens, access controls, encrypted network connections, signed application releases, scoped service credentials, and security logging where applicable. No service or storage method can guarantee absolute security.
You can help by using a unique password, protecting your devices, signing out of shared computers, keeping the application current, and contacting support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
You may update certain profile information in your account. You may also request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information associated with your account, subject to identity verification and any information that must be retained for transactions, security, disputes, or law.
Privacy rights vary by location. Where applicable law gives you additional rights, such as objecting to certain processing or appealing a decision, LiveCurrent will respond to a verified request as required. You will not be discriminated against for exercising a legal privacy right.
To make a request, sign in and submit a support ticket. Include enough detail to identify the account and request, but do not send your password or full payment credentials.
9. International processing
LiveCurrent and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, reasonable contractual or legal safeguards are used for cross-border processing.
10. Children
LiveCurrent accounts and purchases are not directed to children under 13. A minor who uses LiveCurrent should do so through a parent, guardian, church, school, or other organization authorized to manage the account and content. Contact support if you believe a child submitted personal information without appropriate permission.
11. Third-party services and links
LiveCurrent may link to track providers, payment services, sign-in providers, plug-in vendors, and other websites. Their privacy policies govern information they collect directly. Review those policies before providing information to them.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as LiveCurrent, its providers, or applicable laws change. The effective date will be revised. Material changes may also be presented through the website, account, application, or email when appropriate.
13. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, sign in at account.livecurrent.app and submit a support ticket. If you cannot access your account, use the account registration or sign-in flow to reach LiveCurrent support.
